Property/Casualty Consulting Actuarial Job Opportunity

With an eye toward succession planning, we are hiring a property/casualty consulting actuary.  The consulting actuary will become familiar with current clients, with the goal of becoming the lead on these clients within a few years, as well as developing new clients.


Activities include:

  • Perform reserve analyses, funding analyses, data analyses, and other actuarial services

  • Present findings of analyses to clients

  • Perform peer reviews of analyses done by other consultants

  • Correspond with clients to request data and other information in preparation for analyses

  • Participate in client calls and visits

  • Invoice clients

  • Prepare proposals for analyses to meet prospective clients’ needs

  • Participate in continual improvements to processes, models, and techniques


Minimum Requirements:

  • Near ACAS to ACAS

  • Four years of property/casualty actuarial experience

  • Strong knowledge of actuarial techniques and concepts

  • Ability to work with minimal supervision

  • Ability to think creatively / imaginatively

  • Attention to detail



  • We can be flexible as to work schedule, including some remote work

  • We would consider someone who would like to work part time (ACAS or FCAS)
